Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. Her most popular role is Bo in the Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was born Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Peter Silk, who was an actor and director. He was also a writer, teacher, and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. One of Anna's first memories include going to play rehearsals and watching her mom do her job. Silk was a part of a variety of commercials while she was young. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arts in the field of theater at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved to Toronto to pursue her acting profession in November 1999. She then, over the next decade, she moved in the following decade to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she was introduced to him at an Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. The couple got engaged in 2009 and were married at the civil ceremony on was held in December. The couple renewed their vows April 10th 2011 at Fredericton with the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony, after Silk changed her religion to Judaism. Silk was blessed with an infant son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second child was born in the month of May of 2016. Silk was also nominated 2009 for Gemini Awards in her role as Cassidy Holland. In 2009, she was cast as the main Bo Dennis in the series Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk told fans of the show the joyous news that she had become pregnant during the filming of Season 3 in an exclusive pre-show for Season Three. This was broadcasted by Showcase at a special Season Three show held January 6, 2013 before the show's premiere. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the beginning of production for the fourth season and on June 20, 2013 Silk posted on Twitter that she was ready to return to the set of the show. CNN Cable News Network named Bo as well as Lauren Zoie Palmer, as the couple with the same name in Lost Girl to be one of the top television Couples ever. E! Magazine declared that they were the top TV Couples of 2013 Entertainment Television. Silk is the result, and its popularity on social media has gained a significant internet following.
